El Segundo-based Computer Sciences Corp. said Monday it has been named one of the top 25 enterprise companies serving the financial services industry worldwide.

The annual ranking is compiled by American Banker, a daily newspaper for the banking and financial services industry, and Financial Insights, an IDC company providing strategic business and technology advice for the banking and financial services industry. This is the fourth consecutive year CSC has been named a leading provider of information technology (IT) services to this industry.

To be selected as one of the top 25, companies must be global technology firms that provide services or market products across multiple industries, but have significant reported revenues in financial services. Qualifying companies are categorized and evaluated by fiscal year-end revenues and percentage of
revenues from sales to financial services industry clients.

CSC, which has about 87,000 employees, provides innovative solutions for customers worldwide by applying leading technologies and CSC's own advanced capabilities. These include systems design and integration; IT and business process outsourcing; applications software development; Web and application hosting; and management consulting. CSC reported revenue of $14.9 billion for the 12 months ended March 30, 2007.
