Northrop Grumman named Martin Zelman vp of internal audit.
Zelman succeeds Carolyn Pitman who now leads the company's enterprise shared Services organization. Zelman will be "responsible to the audit committee of the board of directors and the chief financial officer for establishing and maintaining an effective internal audit program for the company."
Zelman joined Northrop Grumman in 1976 and was most recently vice president and controller for the Mission Systems sector. Previously, he held a number of financial leadership positions with the former TRW Automotive and Energy businesses, and was responsible for the design and implementation of a financial shared services organization for the TRW Automotive group. He was also the assistant controller and director of financial reporting for TRW. Zelman earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a master's degree of business administration in operations research from UCLA.
