Satellite Test Complete

Boeing Co. said Wednesday that it recently completed thermal-vacuum testing of the third Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) satellite in "record time, as a result of continuous improvements in testing efficiency."

Boeing is building six WGS satellites for the U.S. Air Force.

The first WGS was put into operation in April.
