The Technology Council of Southern California, a Torrance-based trade group, is seeking nominations for the group's 15th annual Technology Industry Awards.

The awards are for individuals and companies that made "extraordinary contributions to the growth of Southern California as a center for technological innovation."

The nomination deadline is March 25. The awards will be presented on April 30 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in LA.

Contest categories include Software Company of the Year, Hardware/Storage Company of the Year, Internet/New Media Company of the Year, Entertainment/Gaming Company of the Year, Mobile/Communications Company of the Year.

Applicants do not need to be members of the Technology Council of Southern California, but must be headquartered in the Southern California region.

Make nominations through the council's website at www.tcosc.org.
