Space Exploration Technologies, the Hawthorne-based developer of low-cast rockets, announced a new launch window for the Falcon 1 Flight 5 rocket carrying the RazakSAT satellite to orbit.
The company known as SpaceX said the launch window opens Monday July 13 and lasts through Tuesday July 14.
The launch was delayed in May after SpaceX identified the potential for an "unfavorable interaction between the satellite and the launch vehicle." The problem was solved with a simple vibration isolation system.
The launch site is is about 2,500 miles southwest of Hawaii on Omelek Island, part of the Reagan Test Site at United States Army Kwajalein Atoll in the Central Pacific.
