Sisters from Concord, Bay Point sue Toyota; blame `sudden acceleration' for crash

(MercNews) BAY POINT - Two sisters from Contra Costa County have sued Toyota for injuries they suffered in a 2008 car accident, claiming their Camry suddenly accelerated and sent them crashing into a brick wall.
The complaint, filed this week in Contra Costa Superior Court, is one of numerous suits that have arisen worldwide since Toyota began recalling several vehicle models in January for problems including "sudden acceleration."
