Honda Releases Sketch of Civic Concept

For Honda Civic lovers, the next concept could turn out to be 'heavily styles" according to a writer at CNET.

(CNET) Honda released a sketch today teasing the Civic concept it will show off at the 2011 Detroit auto show. Concept sketches are not entirely reliable, but this one shows the standard Honda grille bracketed by deep-set headlights.

The artist chose to show the coupe, emphasizing the sporty lines. The angle of the beltline from front to rear is very reminiscent of Hyundai's Fluidic Sculpture design language.

| | Comments (0) |

How is WikiLeaks different than newspapers like the Daily Breeze? How is their press freedom different from ours?
I address those questions in this week's Business Casual column.
Here's how I started the column:

I recently asked myself the following question: How am I different than Julian Assange, editor-in-chief of the controversial whistle-blower website WikiLeaks?

My answer: I'm not sure.

Following up on my story on Raytheon forbidding its employees from accessing WikiLeaks at work or even on their own personal computer equipment.
A source at a local aerospace/military contractor told me today that his company issued a similar directive "months ago."

"We were notified months ago when it (WikiLeaks disclosures) first came out and we got a reminder notice last week," the source said.

He added, "To us in the industry, it makes Raytheon look a little naive and late to the party."

Toyota Sues GM

| | Comments (0) |

Lawsuits are a part of life and business and have an important place in our world, so I c an't blame Toyota for filing a lawsuit if it feels it's owed money. The same goes for those sueing Toyota over the recalls.

(WSJ) TOKYO--Toyota Motor Corp. said Wednesday it filed a lawsuit against General Motors Co.'s bankruptcy estate over a production halt at a now-closed manufacturing joint venture in California.
