President Cyberwonky and the digital age

President Obama is going to appoint a cyber czar to oversee digital security.

The man or woman who will be the czar (or czarina) won't be announced until next week.

But Fox News and Rush Limbaugh have already decided that if it's a minority they're sure to be reverse racists.

Speaking of Jabba the Butt, he actually said that "the country is failing because Obama is succeeding."

Pure Butt speak, which is to say speaking out of one's butt. Apparently Obama's master plan is that America fails.

George W. must've had a hand in this because he was the architect and he didn't even realize it.

But enough Butt, back to President Cyberwonky and the digital age.

Obama announced all this technical jargin via his usual TelePromptr, but that's certainly not to say this guy doesn't know what he's talking about.

He was pure cyberwonk on digfital infrastructure, cyber security, tracking down cybercriminals (they do a trillion dollar bidness a year), and vowed to protect public safety and national security in the process.

The prez referred to those who mess with our cybersafety bad guys who possess, drum roll, "weapons of mass disruption."

President Cyberwonky is gonna make sure the Internet remains open and free.

The big, bad government won't be smeaking a peek at you peeking at your porn, so chill out.

Hell, if this guy wasn't already busy with a ton of hand-me down problems from Bush and Cheney, he could appoint himself cyber czar.

That would get Jabba and the Fox News hounds up on their hind legs: "Ya see! Ya see! President HopeAmericaFails is now calling himself a czar!"

Twinkle, twinkle Socialist. Muslim. Celebrity. Czar. How we wonder what else you are.

He's gonna control cyberspace and inject national security with a virus that gives all our top secrets away to the French!

Obama is the right guy for the imformation age. He's no actor reading lines (was that the dead bones of Ronald Reagan just rattling?)

We already know how well he worked the information age to get all those campaign dollars.

Hey, maybe that's how he's going to make America fail -- smarten everybody up and make it easy for us cyber dimwits to keep up with the rest of the ever-changing planet.

Conservatives and right wingnuts have always hated intellectuals.

In the last eight years, intellect was the new queer.

Now it's anybody who is a good listener. Who is never too old or cynical to yearn to marvel at various ways to communicate.

Information is power. Knowledge, as Emil Faber said, is good.
