Badge of honor

Sgt. James Crowley, the now famous police officer involved with the Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates arrest, spoke to the media after the beer blast with Gates and President Obama on Thursday.

Crowley was a study is steady calm and charisma.

He was so effective, MSNBC's Chris Matthews had one of those chills up and down his leg that he used to experience when candidate Obama spoke during the campaign.

Crowley certainly has a career in politics if he so desires. Or as a TV personality and commentator.

Hopefully, he won't turn into one of those law and order Gestapo-types on Fox News.

We can only hope he doesn't end up on Fox News ---- in any capacity.

Can you imagine those "I'm white and being discriminated against" hate-spewers like Sean Insanity interviewing Crowley?

Or worse, Fox News' Minister of Propaganda Glenn "Goebbels" Beck.

Beck: "Ya gotta admit, Sgt. Crowley, Obama is an angry black man who hates white people."

Crowley: "I didn't get that from him."

Beck: "He showed his true colors at that press conference, boy."

Crowley: "Actually, he seems to be a person comfortable with everyone he talks to."

Beck: "Ya, comfortable in his own skin. He called you stupid. Couldn't you have arrested him or deported him back to Kenya?"

Crowley: "I don't have that kind of authority, and wouldn't if I did."

Beck: "Authority is what's lacking, boy. It's being taken away from white people as we speak."

Crowley: "I'm sorry, but I just don't see that."

Beck: "I'm not talking out my, y'know, booptee, here. You had the authority to arrest that college professor from that liberal institution that promotes anti-Americanism and unleashes homosexuals into the general public."

Crowley: "Harvard?"

Beck: "You were doing your job and the namby-pamby Democrat Party is slamming you for it."

Crowley: "Actually, a lot of Democrats thought I acted appropriately and didn't overstep my bounds."

Beck: "What's wrong with overstepping your bounds? That's how I got this show. That's why I have so many followers who would marry a pig if I told them to."

Crowley: "There is that."

Beck: "Nothing wrong with just following orders. Some great men throughout history have used that phrase ---- and been persecuted for it!"

Crowley: "Ah, if you say so. Is our time just about up ---- I have some boring paper work I have to take care of."

Beck: "You're a great American. And America is a better place because you're in it."

Crowley: "That's kind of you to say."

Beck: "Well?"

Crowley: "Well, what?"

Beck: "Aren't you gonna return the compliment?"

Crowley: "You ought to be glad there's no law against being brain dead and still being allowed to have your own show on Fox, or I'd run you in."

Pathetic little copy editor is at it again.

Stick to your job and spare us your hate-spewing--please! You are insufferable.

So, let me get this right: the left can "hate-spew" at Sarah, Rush and Fox News all they want, but you in turn call level-headed commentators like Hannity and Beck "haters"?

Wow, you are lost...come out of the wilderness. Liberal utopianism is not the answer.

How about a blog ripping the equally pathetic Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow, two ridiculous mutts such as yourself?

MJP,

Take it easy. You seem to be a very angry person. Life is too short.

An old TV saying we used to use. If you look closely at your set you'll see two knobs (a time before remote controls), if one doesn't work the other one surely will.

Maybe Beck or Rush can explain it to (or for) you.

Paul, life _is_ too short, I agree.

But Beck and Rush are really getting through to the illiterates, as you can see.

The Becks and Rushs of the world have a mission to poison the well. Democracy be damned, they say. The Rightist media know if they lie and distort issues with vigor and endless repetition that they can transfigure the illiterati into town-hall lynch mobs. It's happening before our eyes.

Fellows like MJP are drinking the Right Wing Kool-Aid in mighty gulps.
