Real America’s in a bad mood

Without the liberal lion’s roar in the Senate, the passing of Ted Kennedy may also spell the end of civility in anything having to do with anything in both Houses of Congress.

We all remember former first lady Nancy Reagan’s “Just Say No” to drugs campaign in the 1980s.

Well, Republicans nowadays have made that their creedo. They “Just Say No” to everything.

Speaking of the always classy Mrs. Reagan, she spoke with Chris Matthews over the phone on “Hardball” last night about the passing of her friend Teddy.

She worked with the Lion on bringing stem cell research to the fore.

Mrs. Reagan told Matthews that President Reagan and Sen. Kennedy always got along —- it didn’t matter to either man who was a Democrat or who was a Republican.

“We should have more of that now,” Mrs. Reagan concluded.

It’s about time to listen to Nancy Reagan again, gentlemen.

Instead, the nation has to deal with junk like this:

Just this week at yet another Iowa GOP Sen. Chuck “Pander to the People” Grassley’s Obama health scare town hall meeting, an angry World War II veteran said, “I’ll take a gun to Washington if enough will go with me.”

The topper to all this: The guy’s last name was Eisenhower.

“Real America’s in a bad mood”

Real America’s in a bad mood,

the economy is lousy and making us all sick.

We’re getting our message across on TV

letting y’all know what makes us tick.

It’s trendy to be one of us, so come join our cause.

On this Christian crusade against the hethen Democrats and their outdated laws.

The socialist Muslim in the White House

is a royal pain in the neck.

Thank God in real America

we got pharmaceutical companies, guns and Glenn Beck.

We’re lighting the fires of dissent

using Lady Liberty’s torch.

We’re ready to rally behind Gov. Quitter

who can see Russia from her porch.

We’re not gonna stand by and watch

the deconstruction of the white male.

Our grassroots movement is everywhere —-

even hiking the Appalachian Trail.

Get on board now, feel the anger —–

we got you covered, don’t worry about protection.

Just one question:

Do we need to take Viagra for an insurrection?

Now you’re a song writer, not just a copy editor! A “man” of SO many talents.

Problem is, you belong in a round room reserved for whack job (very) far-left loons.

Funny how NOW society is in a bad mood when we had to endure the insufferable eights years of Bush hand-wringing and severe bashing and the psychological, media-driven rape of an incredible, accomplished and POPULAR white woman named Sarah Palin.

Now free speech isn’t such a good thing. Remember Hillary’s yenta rant that she wouldn’t shut up and free speech was sooooooo important?

She wasn’t in a bad mood at all, was she?

If you’re looking for an accomplished and POPULAR white woman (not that race should matter), how about Mrs. Reagan. A lady intelligent enough to put away petty, political differences to pursue change (with Ted Kennedy) that would benefit EVERYONE. So many on the right and left (lately mostly the right) put down everything the other side floats. This isn’t proper, and this is one of many reasons the government is bogged down. Intelligent people working together for the good of their constituents…that’s what it’s supposed to be. I am not a huge Kennedy follower, but they did know what was supposed to be done.

OK, I’ve given MJP enough words to look up now.
