The Fred and Ethel Mertz of political entertainment, Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin, recently spoke at an NRA convention in the land of cotton where old times there are not forgotten and need to be resurrected.
Members didn’t need to fire their weapons, they had two of the biggest blowhards shooting off their mouths.
Palin was shrilling something about President Obama wanting to gut the Second Amendment and take away our guns.
“It’s the job of all of us at the NRA and its allies to stop them in their tracks,” the Baked Alaskan told the North Carolina trigger-happy pappies.
That cliche usually doesn’t conjure up undertones of violence, unless it’s shrilled at an NRA convention and from the narcississtic nitwit who uses phrases like “time to reload” or associates with a lunatic like Minnesota Congresswoman Michele “They’re coming to take me away, ha, ha!” Bachmann who tells her lemmings to be “armed and dangerous.”
The Banshee of Babbling On also reminded the hypnotized riflemen of that lipstick on a pitbull thingy. And that all Democrat God-haters should be defeated in November.
Not realizing, of course, because that would involve thinking, that should Republicans and Tea Baggers take control of the House and Senate, she’ll have no act.
Naturally, the Fox Noose diva had to attack the media. For what, not enough coverage of this narcissistic nitwit who can’t get enough of herself?
Speaking of nitwits, Beck also shot from the hip at the NRA gabfab in North Carolina, where men are men and small farm animals are nervous.
Beck regurgitated his usual menu like “Democrats are Marxist revolutionaries”
The Fox Noose Minister of Propaganda also used a tired Titanic reference saying that “we need to save the passengers.”
Beck thenwent patriotic-neurotic with”the finger of God wrote the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.” Guess that’s not the Almighty’s handwriting about the separation of church and state.”
Beck was forced to be less animated during his commencement speech at Jerry Falwell’s Liberty University.
Eraserhead even had to leave his chalkboard back at the School of hard knuckleheads.
But he did break down and cry with his inflammatory rhetoric and his delusional relationship with the Almighty talking points, written, no doubt, with the finger of God.
“Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.”(Matt. 7:15)
Meanwhile, back at the ranch. As entertaining as Fred and Ethel are, the NRA convention could’ve used a song or two (besides “God Bless America.”)
Someone should’ve dialed up Cyndi Lauper to get her back into the swing of things by having her redo her hit “Girls Just Want to have Fun.” Only this time call it “Americans just want to have guns.”
“Oh, Obama dear you’re still the smartest one —-
but Americans just want to have guns.
Oh, Americans just want to have —-
that’s all they really wanaaaant…. guns….
When the working day is done
Americans want to shoot things with their guns….”
