Obama this and Obama that

The catastrophic oil spill is "Obama's Katrina."
Must be true --- you'll hear it every chance they get to say it on Fox News.
These are the same numbskulls that gave us:
"Obama's Waterloo" ----- meaning his health care reform wouldmean the end of his presidency.
Now there's "Obama's Watergate."
The Foxholes are trying to impeach the prez again. They got him this time. The White House offered Joe Sestak ---- the Democrat who beat Sen. Arlen "Magic-bullet theory" Spector in the recent Pennsylvania primary ---- a job in the administration to keep him from running against the 30-year veteran of the senate.
But back to "Obama's Katrina."
Since when does Fox Noose and the conservatrons care about the environment?
Their greatest hit, "Drill, Baby, Drill," was drilled into everybody's head ---- finally, even Obama's.
Bad timing there, B-rock. Only two weeks after you agreed to offshore drilling, the Gulf of Mexico turned into one major Jiffy Lube.
That's what you get for thinking (for the lack of a better word) like Palin. It was nary a month before the disaster when the Baked Alaskan told her rabid fan base in a (paid handsomely) speech in Louisiana that it was safe to drill in the Gulf.
One thing is true, Obama needs to lead and not follow so much ---- especially by giving into the "hell no, you can't" conservatrons who also have oil on their hands with this mess in the Gulf.
The latest poll taken gives Obama a 48 percent job approval rating. Still a lot higher than Congress or any number of would-be Republicants who want to take over the White House.
Let's see, terrorism threats, a massive oil spill that's the worst in American history, unemployment at 10 percent, and an economy on the presipice of another Great Depression.
You too can be president, Mitt!
Anyway, Obama needs to get his job approval above 50 percent ----- no president wants to see his or her job approval below 50 percent.
He's not near the Mendoza line --- or George W. territory, for those not familiar with the baseball player analogy --- but he needs to do better.
Just what can he do?

Obama needs to have more photo ops with the hottest entertainer around (take that, Lady Gaga).
Everything's better with Betty.
With her at the helm, things will at least appear to be more delightful.
Hey, what the heck, nothing else seems to be working.
And you watch how even the most delusional disciples of Beck, Limbaugh and Palin would turn on that clan when they attack our Betts.
And speaking of polls, here's one Zogby or "Ratmussen" wouldn't dare conduct:
Ask Americans if they are more concerned about the catastrophic oil spill or who was going to win on "Idol."
