The first lady is a champ

First lady Michelle Obama has an approval rating of 61 percent nationwide. Higher than that of the president. And better than any other politician like the Clintons or former President George W. Bush.

The Mrs. is so popular, in fact, that the Democrats are thinking of sending her out onthe campaign trail in the fall to stump for candidates who are in tough election bids.

Of course this can only mean one thing: Fox Manufactured News has to go out of its way to discredit her.

Since it’s a new month, Fox —– which should change it’s slogan to “We incite. You react” — has to go after another African-American, if it’s going to keep up the tradition of scaring white people.

The first lady has been a favorite target of the right wing-nuts ever since her comment during the 2008 primary season that for the first time in her life she was proud of her country.

Fox and fiends took that at black-face value —- believing she was only saying that because her husband was running for the president.

The merciless Murdochians slammed Mrs. O. for taking her daughter on a European Vacation (Spain) during hard times economically back here at the homefront.

Chill, Fox, at least it wasn’t France.

They even slammed the Obamas when Paul McCartney serenaded the first lady with his classic song “Michelle.”

That’s nowhere, man.

Now there has always been a gentlemen’s agreement that you don’t criticize the first lady. Apparently, that only pertains to Republican first ladies. Ask Hillary Clinton.

The right-wing nuts have even gone as far as to insult the Obama children. Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh — there’s a few gentlemen for you — have even mimicked the Obama kids on more than one occasion.

Then it’s blame Obama for everything. We even had a Web comment blaming the president for Disneyland’s decision to possibly raise their prices at their theme park.

Hard to imagine. But the tangled Web meister tried to tie Obamanomics to the idiotic statement anyway.

If the truth be told, blame Bush —- his economic somnambulists ran a Mickey Mouse operation.

Yes, it’s appropriate to keep blaming W. Especially since the GOP can’t stop bringing up Jimmy Carter.

Republicans get all testy about that. This is because the GOP doesn’t want W.’s name mentioned in any way, shape or form.

Consider the fact that W.’s memoirs (even Justin Bieber’s planned memoirs could better fill a book about successful accomplishments) was supposed to be released in book form in September. Rumor has it that Republicans are pleading with the former prez to hold off releasing the book until after the midterm elections.

Heck, this guy was conveniently not live and in person at the GOP national convention in 2008. They had him speaking via satellite from one of Deadeye Dick Cheney’s undisclosed locations.

Laura Bush wasn’t criticized as much as Michelle Obama has been so far. And Laura’s married to the worst president since Herbert Hoover.

All the first ladies should be treated with respect. Can you imagine what they have to deal with? Their husbands can’t help but bring their work home with them —- because they work at home.

Cowards like Beck and Limbaugh will never learn. They’re bullies in the schoolyard who probably picked on girls.

They might not want to mess much more with Michelle Obama. Especially making fun of her kids.

She’s not your father’s first lady.

And if those clowns at Fox and the right-wing nuts who feed from the same regurgitated trough wish to continue their sarcastic and misanthrope tirades, well, they don’t even deserve to be warned about being careful what they wish for.

The first lady can take care of herself. She’s dealt with worse bullies than these weenies…..
