Quakes looking for a little unity

It’s been a tough start to the second half for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. They got lambasted four games in Lancaster and dropped the first game of a three-game set at Inland Empire on Monday.

The team arrived at San Manuel Stadium in preparation for Tuesday’s game all donning red shirts. Dress alike, think alike. A team unity kind of thing.

Manager Carlos Subero said if the red didn’t work, the players were going to wear pink on Wednesday. Problem might be that not a lot of his players are likely to have pink shirts and it’s an 11 a.m. game.

Well the Sixers prevailed 5-1.

We’ll see about the pink shirts!
