Last year, I wrote a column about Kalaea Christopher Jennings, a San Pedro baby who died of sudden infant death syndrome. His parents organized a fund-raiser in Torrance for a national organization that raises awareness about SIDS. Their efforts to fight SIDS are continuing this month. Check out the family's moving promotional video at http://www.vimeo.com/3935397

Thank you for following up last year's article with information on this year's event. This story continues to be an inspiration as it touches hearts and spreads awareness on SIDS. After reading last year's article I kept up on the news of the event and I know that over $50,000 was raised last year. I'm sure they will soar past that number this year and the years to follow.

Great blog Mr. Canalis. Thanks again for the follow up and for keeping local news alive!
