I nominate Ms. Tina Gabel of International Elementary. Ms. Gabel is a great teacher, her focus is on the children. She makes you want to go to school everyday; her interaction with staff, parents and children cannot be compared.
She is enthusiastic and a great role model!

The Madison Elementary third grade teacher was honored to be named as a Teacher of the Year by the LBUSD and LA County Office of Education.
Tish has been teaching in the LBUSD for more than thirty years, at a number of diverse school sites, such as Hudson, Los Cerritos, and Madison where she has demonstrated leadership among her colleagues, having served as a TALB representative for many years, as well as a grade level, and GATE representative.
Ms. Bonner is always accessible to parents. She promotes scholarliness, ethics, compassion, and cooperation among her students.
Tish Bonner is well respected by LBUSD administrators. We are fortunate to have such a highly dedicated, caring person, teaching our children, in the past, present, and future.
