Chino gets grant for seatbelt program

The California Office of Traffic Safety awarded a grant to Chino Police's seatbelt enforcement program "Click it or Ticket."

The $20,028 grant provides funding in overtime costs for police officers, with intensified seatbelt enforcements each month.

Two well-publicized seat belt enforcement mobilizations will be held on Nov. 17 - 20 and May 18 - 31, 2009. The grand provides funding for eforcement and administrative time over and above the current budget.
