Chino Council funds afterschool program

The Chino Council approved a contract with the Chino Valley School District for an after school program called "The Zone," at Magnolia Junior High School, in the amount of $28,671.

"The Zone" is an afterschool Community Learning Center program offered to junior high school students which will priovide academic enrichment including homework assistance and tutoring; a variety of additional activities such as drug prevention, character developmente, art, fitness, music, sports and career education; and will offer familiies of participating students opportunities for literacy development.
