Public meeting to present prison medical center plan in Chino

The California Prison Health Care Receivership Corporation's (CPR) office will hold a public scoping meeting on Thursday, November 20 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Chino Community Building, located at 5443 B Street.

People with questions or concerns regarding the proposed medical/mental health facility that could house up to 2,100 additional inmates on the California Institution for Men property are encouraged to attend the meeting.

City officials are concerned about resident safety with the increase of prisoners, in addition to traffic and infrastructure issues with the new medical center.
