Ayala forms club to help Foundation

| | Comments (0)

Students at Ayala High School in Chino Hills organized groups of volunteers to plan and carry out fundraisers ranging from toy drives and car washes to bakes sales in order to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation's Kids for Wish Kids program.

This year alone, a total of 21 wishes were granted by local high school students to children facing life-threatening medical conditions.

Along with learning the importance of philanthropy, organizers say program participation provides an opportunity for students to build leadership skills and develop a strong community connection.

During the 2007-2008 school year, local high school K4WK Clubs, including the one at Ayala, raised enough money to grant a total of 21 wishes to children facing life-threatening medical conditions.
