Community gets help from Caring for the Hills

| | Comments (1)

The Caring for the Hills food, toy and clothes giveaway takes place on Dec. 20 at 1 p.m. at Chino Hills Christian Fellowship, 15558 Avery Street, for about 200 families. Chino Hills resident Judy Rogers heads Caring for the Hills and has collected food and new toys for the families in need.

"I feel blessed all year that we are able to help these people in need because any time in our lives, it could have been us."

Fellow Caring for the Hills member Joyce Butler helped collect older toys and clothes.

"This is about being able to help those that can't help themselves," Butler said. "It makes me feel good knowing I can help others."

Rogers says the organization still needs hams, turkeys, holiday food items and toys. Donations can be made to Rogers at Caring for the Hills, 15554 Cecilia Street. Clothes donations can be made to Butler at 4738 Bird Farm Road.
