Chino band competition scheduled for Nov. 7
One of California's largest, longest-running, and most prestigious marching band competitions will take place at Chino High School on Nov. 7, when the 39th annual Chino Invitational Band Review and Field Show Tournament is held.
Forty-two high school and middle school marching bands will present 28 field show performances and 32 parade performances for top honors for band, drill team, auxiliary, percussion, and drum major. Bands will come from San Bernardino, Riverside, Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, and Kern counties.
The event starts at 8 a.m. and ends at 11 p.m.
From 8 to 11:50 a.m. is the morning Field Show Tournament taking place at Chino High's Monger Field. This competition features 14 high school bands, representing smaller bands with 70 or fewer performing musicians. The winner of this competition is invited back to perform in exhibition in the evening Field Show Tournament. These performances are similar to the types of performances seen at a football game half-time show.
The annual Band Review, from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., features 32 high school and middle school bands in parade competition. In addition to the formal competition, the final portion of the parade route is an area where the bands will perform for members of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Music Committee for consideration for future Tournament of Roses Parades.
El Dorado High School, which will be in the Jan. 1 Rose Parade, will attend this year's Chino Invitational.
Chino High's 77th Cavalry Band and Pageantry will lead the Band Review.

When is the next Chino Invitational Marching band Contest? Please advise me as I am an avid fan of marching band. Thanks
