| | Comments (0)
The parents of a young Chino organ donor will meet the woman who received his kidney on Saturday in Los Angeles.
Steven Alvarez was the youngest of three children in his family at the age of 20 when he was involved in a car accident in 2005. Four days after the accident, he died. His parents agreed to donate his organs, saving the lives of four people.
Elena Ramirez of Los Angeles received one of his kidneys. Steven's parents have agreed to meet Elena at the downtown offices of OneLegacy, the organ recovery agency that facilitated the donation. The meeting will take place Saturday, Nov. 14 at 2 p.m.
Steven's face will be one of the 76 floragraphs on this year's Donate Life float in the Rose Parade. A short bio and his photo are available online at www.donatelifefloat.org.
