Chino Valley Independent Fire Department responds to various incidents

Monday:
- At 4:59 p.m. firefighters responded a vehicle fire to the 15800 block of Soquel Canyon Parkway in Chino Hills. Damage was at $100.
Tuesday: 
- At 1:55 a.m. firefighters were dispatched to a residential structure fire on the 6800 block of Grove Street in Chino. On arrival firefighters found a two-story, single-family residence on fire. The fire was caused by a fish tank light <NO1>which ignored- that ignited the carpeting. There was extensive smoke damage with other structural damage, with estimated loss at $25,000.
Wednesday:
- At 4:56 p.m. firefighters went to a vehicle fire on the 5200 block of Fairfield Ranch Road. The loss was $10,000.
- At 7:28 p.m. firefighters responded to the 5500 block of Schaefer Avenue in Chino for a hazardous materials incident. A car was found with a hole drilled in the gas tank with about 20 gallons of fuel leaked onto the pavement of a parking lot area. The city cleaned the leak with absorbent.
