Local artist wins national art competition
While thousands of aspiring artists dream of getting their work noticed, several up-and-comers, including Zelda Wang, of Chino Hills, recently received the recognition they deserve as winners of the 2009 Prismacolor national art competition. Zelda graduated from California State University Fullerton with a BFA in both animation and illustration. Her winning piece, Shi, represents "a dying world that cannot go back to how it once was, but may be healed with a pure heart and the most innocent wishes."
