Money raised at hair salon for autism research

Rozzie's Salon raised $855 for the LA Walk Now for Autism Speaks, selling 26 haircuts, hosting a raffle, and accepting donations all to support Autism.

"When I got to the salon, I saw all the stylists dressed in Autism Speaks shirts" Says Heather Torigian, event chair and mom of an 11-year-old on the spectrum. "It was very touching".

The event was coordinated by Heather Torigian, a hair salon receptionist and parent of a child with autism, on Saturday.

Haircuts were given at a discount price with 100 percent of the money raised being donated to Autism Speaks at Rozzies Hair Salon, 13788 Roswell Ave, Chino.

Donations can also be made to "Logan's Heroes", http://www.walknowforautism.org/losangeles/logansheroes
