Calvary Chapel to help aid Haiti earthquake victims

Calvary Chapel Chino Valley,  announced plans to help relief efforts in earthquake ravaged Haiti after learning a sister Calvary Chapel church in the town of Cannielle, near Port Au Prince, had been impacted.

Church member David  Bustamente, who helps coordinate worldwide relief and ministry efforts for the local church, said he learned of the Haiti Calvary Chapel church from a sister Calvary Chapel in Appleton, Wisconsin.

A couple who run the church in Haiti are from the Appleton church and had been celebrating their wedding anniversary at the time of the earthquake. The couple is safe and are accepting aid from sister churches in the United States.

Bustamente said the Chino Valley church is ready to provide people and resources to the effort, but for now is accepting monetary donations.

Checks can be made to Calvary Chapel Chino Valley, 12205 North Pipeline Avenue, with the note of "Haiti Relief" written on the memo line.
