Area young people complete in marathon

A group of 4th-6th grade student runners from Rolling Ridge Elementary School participated in the LA KiDS Marathon program in the school's first time at the event. 

Nearly two dozen students trained for six weeks and have run 25 miles so far. Last week, they ran the last 1.2 miles at Dodger Stadium and crossed the finish line to receive medals. Parent Melissa Vazquez and 5th grade teacher Stacy Colby have coordinated the group and hope to continue it in following years.
