Beth Burkhart, former marketing manager and current film co-producer, to speak tonight

Beth Burkhart, a former marketing manager for The Clorox Company and a co-producer of "The Believers" will speak at 6:45 p.m. today inside the Marian Miner Cook Athenaeum at Claremont McKenna College.

The Athenaeum is at 385 E. 8th St. and her free to the public lecture is titled "The Believers:' A Documentary Film by Todd Holland," according to a CMC news release.   

Burkhart, a 1994 graduate of CMC, co-produced the documentary film "The Believers" about the world's first transgender gospel choir Transcendence.

Transcendence won an Outmusic Award in 2004 and the film was named by Video Librarian as one of 2007's best documentary films.
