Rozzie's Salon owner Sandy Keeney gave Claremont resident Royce Felten, 4, a hair cut at an autism-friendly haircut event Nov. 21.

Felten, who has autism, had his hair cut at 3:15 p.m. to support the event, which was open to all.

The salon raised $855 for LA Walk Now for Autism Speaks, according to a news release.

"When I got to the salon, I saw all the stylists dressed in Autism Speaks shirts," event chair Heather Torigian, mother of an 11-year-old with a diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome. "It was very touching."

Rozzies Hair Salon, at 13788 Roswell Ave. in Chino, had women's haircuts for $20 and men's and children haircuts for $10.

The prices were more than 50 percent off what the salon usually charges.

The Torigians are on their third community event in support of Logan, 11. They request any donations to be made to "Logan's Heroes", http://www.walknowforautism.org/losangeles/logansheroes

The eighth annual Walk Now for Autism Speaks 2010 event occurs April 2010 in Pasadena. Last year, 17,000 people participated in the walk and raised $1.27 million at the Rose Bowl.
