The Claremont Museum of Art is now offering free admission to Claremont residents.

The first of two exhibitions is An Enduring Legacy: New acquisitions to the Permanent Collection with works from recognized Claremont area artists, presented with Gould Asset Management's support.

The other exhibit is the interactive installation Ten Pound Ape: Your Mother was Beautiful Once, Part Vier, which was funded from a James Irvine Foundation grant.

There were 200 people who visited the Claremont Museum of art since the museum extended free admission to all Claremont residents, museum officials said in a news release.

Claremont gave a grant to the Museum for it to operate through the year's end.
Museum hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday.

All Claremont residents and youths under age 18 are admitted free through the year's end.

More information on the Museum's current exhibitions is available at http://www.claremontmuseum.org
