Art project with sycamore tree continues

DSC_0115.JPGPitzer College has Los Angeles based artist Joel Tauber's permanent living art installation "Sick-Amour" available for view.

The Sick-Amour tree planting ceremony took place Nov. 11 at Pitzer College's Pellissier Mall, 1050 N. Mills Ave.

The project began in 2006 after Tauber said he saved an ailing sycamore tree found in the Rose Bowl parking lot in Pasadena.

There is an interactive tree baby map on Tauber's Web site at www.joeltauber.com.
Those interested can see who adopted tree offspring, known as tree babies, from the original Pasadena tree.

Besides the trees, which includes the Pitzer College tree, an interactive tree museum is also available on the Web site.
