Girl Scouts food drive and service day Saturday
The Girl Scouts food drive and service day will be held Saturday at various Vons locations in Los Angeles County.
The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Claremont Vons, 550 E. Baseline Rd.
According to a Girl Scouts news release, "Concerned with the growing number of those at risk of hunger in the Los Angeles metro area, local Girl Scouts selected the issue as the focus of the council's annual Service Saturday project. In addition to December 5 activities, girls have engaged in interactive and educational components regarding hunger and philanthropy."
