Claremont is looking for proposal requests for the Community Based Organization and Homeless Program's 2010-11 funding cycles.

Requests must be sent using a city-provided application form.

According to a city news release, "The City of Claremont's CBO funding mission is to partner with CBO's in order to strengthen the social, economic, and family infrastructure for the Claremont community. The City of Claremont's Homeless program is designed to provide funding for programs that serve the chronically homeless, individuals with no reliable shelter, or individuals on the verge of being homeless."

Requests selected will based on projects or programs that best address the community's priorities and needs identified by the city council, youth and family master plan and the senior master plan.

Applications are due to the Human Services Department, 1700 Danbury Rd. no later than 5 p.m. January 14.

Community non-profit groups interested in having their programs or projects considered can submit an application at CBO Application or Homeless Program Application; calling the Human Services Department at (909) 399-5356 or e-mail kturner@ci.claremont.ca.us.
