Home Energy Efficiency discussion with Devon Hartman
Devon Hartman of Hartman Baldwin, a Claremont firm that reportedly specializes in energy efficient remodeling and restoration, will hold a home energy efficiency discussion from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 1.
The presentation will take place inside the Hahn Building at Pomona College, 420 N. Harvard Ave.
"As part of the continuing sustainability dialog series under the direction of Sustainable Claremont, this meeting will focus on what can be done to make Claremont homes more comfortable while at the same time lowering utility cost and reducing greenhouse gas emissions through energy efficiency," according to a Sustainable Claremont news release.
The discussion is free and open to all.
"Sustainable Claremont has established the Claremont Energy Retrofit Project with the goal of performing the ENERGY STAR process and making improvements to 130 homes in 2010," according to the news release. "These initial projects will represent typical construction in the community and become part of a case study to guide energy renovations for all homes in Claremont, and a model that can be used in other communities."
Sustainable Claremont and Pomona College are sponsoring the event in partnership with the League of Women Voters and Claremont Interfaith Council for Sustainability.
