Nominations needed for 2009 Excellence in Design Awards
The 29th annual city of Claremont Architectural Commission Excellence in Design Awards is accepting applications.
The awards highlight completed Claremont building projects before Dec. 31, 2009 and also before showcase the city's standards of design excellence, according to a city of Claremont news release.
Awards are given in categories that include landscaping, sustainability, new construction, signs, adaptive reuse and rehabilitation.
Projects that won't be considered for an award involve interior alterations only.
Anyone may nominate a project that they feel is worthy.
Nomination forms are available at Claremont City Hall, 207 Harvard Avenue, and online at www.ci.claremont.ca.us.
The deadline for submitting nominations is January 28, 2010.
