The 29th Annual Porky D. Swine Police Memorabilia Show, reportedly California's longest running police collectibles patch and badge swap meet, will take place Saturday.

The event is held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Taylor Hall, 1775 N. Indian Hill Blvd.

Featured will be uniform patches, handcuffs, historical documents, law enforcement badges, toy police cars, T-shirts, antique batons, buckles, pins, photographs, helmets, mini-badges, hats, challenge coins and other items for sale, display or trade.

The public is invited to attend the event for collectors and others interested.

Retired Los Angeles Police Department officer Mike Simonsen and his gold and blue macaw partner Officer Byrd will entertain attendees with educational and entertaining presentations.

The fee is $5 and benefits the Claremont Police explorers. Display tables are available for $25, which includes a single, free admission.

Long-time hobbyists Claremont Lt. Dennis B. Smith with Gene Gianuzzi, Bill Selonek and Gerry Skinner are hosting the event.

Information: Smith at dsmith@ci.claremont.ca.us or (909) 399-5411; Gene Gianuzzi at godfather45@verizon.net or Bill Selonek at wrsinv1@comcast.net.
