Stairwell Sisters workshop and concert Sunday

The Stairwell Sisters will hold an old time harmony singing workshop from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Folk Music Center.

Fee for workshop is $15.

The concert is at 7 p.m. and is $12.

The Stairwell Sisters, according to the Folk Music Center, are described as "women who attack string instruments with a veracity that rivals some of rock's most venerated fret-burners ... played with a gospel spirit and an expressive playfulness ... rarely have songs taken from the public domain sounded so modern and vital."
