Panel discussion on "Is California Governable?"

A Pomona Student Union Debate titled "Is California Governable?" will take place at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Smith Campus Center of Pomona College.

Former California Governor Gray Davis, Sacramento Bee political columnist Dan Walters and contemporary California politics academic Thad Kousser will be on the panel.

"The speakers will discuss issues surrounding the initiative system and the restraints placed on the legislature as well as the possibility of a Constitutional Convention to reform the state's governing structure," according to the news release.

The college is at 170 E. 6th St.
