Pianists Karl and Margaret Kohn give free concert Saturday reminder

Pianists Karl and Margaret Kohn will perform, for two pianos, a concert of 20th century piano duos at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Bridges Hall of Music at Pomona College.

According to a Pomona College news release, "The Kohns have given numerous American premiere performances, including works by Boulez, Pousseur, Berio, and Ligeti, with publications from The Boston Globe, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, The New York Times, Helsingin Sanomat, London Times and Manchester Guardian hailing them as "extra-ordinary duo-pianists," "exquisite," "furiously exciting," "super virtuoso," "graceful," and "poetic.""

The program will feature:
Steve Reich - piano phase (1967)
Karl Kohn - Dream Pieces (1983)
Georgy Ligeti - Three Pieces (1976)
John Adams -- Hallelujah Junction (1998)

Bridges Hall of Music is at 150 E. 4th St.

I always kind of supposed that grammar was very analogous to logical/analytical material. I always believed that's why French come so elementary to me. back then I believed languages were my thing and I reckoned learning chinese or japanese, but had to come to the conclusion that chinese might not occur easy for me at all, b/c being satisfactory at interpreting grammar isnt really the difference-maker (which is exceedingly critical in french i'd say), but interpreting and distinguishing particular notes is.
