March 18 school board meeting note

| | Comments (0)
The Claremont Unified School District, at their last meeting on March 18, decided against redesignating its 2009-2010 negotiations team, which caused a lot of discussion.

California Faculty Association officials said Ron Bennett, the CEO for School Services of California, was initially involved to be nothing more than a third party and they were "blind sided" when he said he was working for the district.

Joe Tonan, bargaining chair for the CFA, said he had told some possibly confidential information to Bennett and he felt like Bennett and the district betrayed his trust.

Superintendent Terry Nichols said the district would not add Bennett.

The CFA reps became happy when Nichols decided against including Bennett in the negotiations team.
