Three Valleys Water District earns award

| | Comments (0)
The Three Valleys Municipal Water District was selected as the top outreach winner in its Association of California Water Agencies region for 2010.

The ACWA has honored the district for the third consecutive year, according to an Oct. 20 Three Valleys Municipal Water District news release.

Winners are selected for their ability in making state assembly member and senator contacts on California water legislation and responding to key legislative issues, according to the news release.

"Key areas that received the most attention in 2010 involved successfully thwarting
the threat of restrictions on water rights and water transfers throughout the state as well as dealing with the ongoing concerns over the sustainability of the Delta," according to the district news release.

ACWA will acknowledge the achievement at the 2010 ACWA Fall Conference on Dec. 2 in Indian Wells.
