Mexican Revolution production scheduled for Friday

mexicanrev.jpgThe 100-year anniversary of the Mexican Revolution production will take place at 7 p.m. Friday.

Javier Galvez, adjunct faculty in the teacher education department of Claremont Graduate University in the intercollegiate department of Chicano/Latino Studies is the writer, director and also has a small role.

The production is free and will take place at the Greek Sontag Theater. The Intercollegiate Department of Chicana/o-Latina/o, Pomona College Latin American Studies Department, Claremont Graduate University Teacher Education Program and Ontario/Montclar School District are sponsoring the event. 

There will be between 20 to 35 horses on stage as part of the production, Galvez said.
Mariachi Sol Y Mar, Danzantes Del Sol, Los Dorados Del Norte De Villa, Pomona Youth Orchestra and Marisol La Triguenita are providing music. 

Actors include Rodrigo Cabral and Gerardo Lopez. 

The theatre, at Pomona College, is at 333 N. College Way.
