The Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension will hold public meetings about the proposed Azusa to Montclair Light Rail Extension, according to a news release.

The meetings are the first step in the process to environmentally clear the Azusa to Montclair project, according to the release.

A meeting takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Oakmont Elementary School, 120 W. Green St.

Environmental review has started on the proposed 12.6 mile extension of the Metro Gold Line light rail project from Azusa to Montclair.

The notice of intent for the meeting was released Dec. 27.

Meetings will have a project presentation, question and answer opportunity and then open house format where people can talk with project team members.
