Free senior program on taking care of children and parents Aug. 17

The City of Claremont Senior Program will host "The Sandwich Generation," about taking care of children and adults, at 10 a.m. Aug. 17 at the Joslyn Senior Center.

The center is at 660 N. Mountain Ave. 

The program is part of the free senior topic speaker series, which aims to educate the general public on older adult issues.

A representative from Cohen Medical Center will present the topic. 

The "sandwich generation" are people who take care of children and parents, according to a news release. 

Attendees can learn how to manage the situation while remaining healthy and content, according to the release. 

Questions are encouraged and the event is open to all ages.
