Interfaith walk and rally for hope and peace Sept. 11
The Claremont Interfaith Working Group for Mideast Peace sponsored interfaith walk and rally for hope and peace will take place Sept. 11.
The walk will start at 2 p.m. from the City of Knowledge Islamic School at Foothill Boulevard and Garey Avenue in Pomona.
At 2:45 p.m. walkers will arrive at Temple Beth Israel, 3033 N. Towne Ave. in Pomona.
Walkers then arrive at 3:30 p.m. Claremont United Church of Christ at Harvard and Harrison Avenues.
The rally for hope and peace and remembrance program takes place at 4 p.m. at Memorial Park, 840 N. Indian Hill Blvd., and will include an ice cream social, live music, civic, religious and community leaders.
Those not able to walk can drive between locations and there is limited transportation after the rally available to Foothill Boulevard/Garey Avenue.
