Pipes discussion at Pilgrim Place on Aug. 17

Pilgrim Place resident Walter Davis will discuss pipes and smoking at 7 p.m. Aug. 17 in the Petterson Museum of Intercultural Art at Pilgrim Place.

Davis' talk is called "Pipes: Historical & International" and he will detail how he started collecting pipes when he was a teenager. He now has pipes from around the world and will give historical background and personal information about them.

The Friends of the Museum is sponsoring the event and the public is invited to attend.

Pilgrim Place, which was founded in 1915, is a center for people who are called to careers in religious and charitable nonprofits. It's located at 625 Mayflower Rd.
