DUI patrol in Claremont and neighboring cities Dec. 31
A Driving Under the Influence patrol will take place in Claremont, La Verne and Pomona on Dec. 31, according to a Los Angeles County Avoid the 100 DUI Task Force news release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Other Los Angeles County cities included include Avoid the 100 campaign include Glendora, Covina, Azusa, Irwindale, the California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles Police Department.
The CHP will assign all available officers to the region's freeways, state highways and unincorporated roads starting at 6 p.m. Dec. 16 through Jan. 1..
Funding for the avoid program is from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
