Grant applications being accepted for community based organizations and homeless program funding
The city of Claremont is accepting grant applications for fiscal year 2012-13 community based organizations and homeless programs, according to a city news release.
The CBO's mission is to "partner with non-profit service providers in order to strengthen the social, economic, and family infrastructure in the Claremont community," according to the news release.
Meanwhile, the homeless program is "designed to provide funding for programs that serve the chronically homeless, individuals with no reliable shelter, or individuals on the verge of being homeless," according to the release.
Funding will be awarded to projects and programs that best address the community's priorities and needs.
Claremont has allocated $86,650 for the 2013-12 CBO program and $60,000 for the homeless program, according to the release.
Applications can be obtained at the Alexander Hughes Community Center, 1700 Danbury Rd., Claremont, CA 91711 or contacting the Human Services Division at 909-399-5356 or kturner@ci.claremont.ca.us.
Grant requests must be submitted on a city-provided application form.
All applications are due to the Alexander Hughes Community Center by no later than 5 p.m. on Jan. 19, 2012.
