CLAREMONT – The Pomona Valley Bike Coalition-hosted in partnership with CicLAvia Pomona & Claremont exploratory ride will take place Oct. 28.
Bicycle riders will meet in the Claremont Metrolink Station at 200 W. 1st St.
Registration starts at 9 a.m. for the Halloween themed ride and the ride starts at 10 a.m.
CicLAvia Pomona & Claremont will be a family oriented event tentatively scheduled for spring 2013.
Non-profit organization CicLAvia is producing the event with Pomona and Claremont officials that will open seven miles of streets to create a “linear social space connecting diverse neighborhoods,” according to a news release.
Participants in the spring event will be able to stroll, bike and jog in the neighborhoods to promote social interaction and physical activity.
